Turns (2015)

The meaning behind the title of Turns is two-fold: it refers to the ornamental character of much of the material, a turn being a type of musical ornament, and the pronunciation of ternary, the three part form which the piece is in. It is a high energy piece which tries to capture the personality of my best friend, Riley McDonough, for whom the piece was written.
